Session One: Expression Through Colours - Painting on Canvas

In this session, children will explore how to express their emotions through painting on canvas, using different colors to convey their feelings. They will reflect on how colors can represent their moods, describe vibrant hues that encapsulate their happiest memories, and consider how certain colors have enabled them to express feelings that were difficult to articulate with words. Additionally, they will learn to use colors creatively to narrate stories about their emotions and connect color choices to their relationships with friends and family.

Session Two: Moulding Moods - Creating Clay Sculptures of Different Emotions

During this session, children will create clay sculptures that embody various emotions, utilising the texture and shape of the clay to convey their feelings. They will think about how different shapes can represent emotions like happiness, sadness, or anger, and design a sculpture that reflects a moment of pride. The session will focus on using these sculptures as a means of non-verbal communication, allowing participants to express emotions visually without relying on words.

Session Three: Power Animal - Discovering Unique Qualities and Potential through Magical Techniques of Neuro Art

This session will guide participants in identifying their unique strengths and qualities through the concept of a "power animal." Children will envision an animal that embodies their strengths and consider how this animal could support them in challenging situations. They will also reflect on moments when they felt powerful and express those feelings through art, while exploring admirable qualities in others that they aspire to embody, using their power animal as a source of inspiration for overcoming fears and challenges.

Session Four: 5 Ways to Wellbeing Wheel - Increasing Knowledge about the Importance of Wellbeing linked with Poem/Songwriting Activity

In this session, children will delve into the concept of wellbeing, discussing its significance and how to enhance their own mental health. They will identify activities that bring them joy and relaxation, understand the role of creativity in promoting wellbeing, and share experiences where they have positively impacted someone else's emotional state. The session will also focus on resilience, encouraging participants to collaboratively build this quality and envision their ideal day dedicated to personal wellbeing.

Session Five: Act It Out! - Increasing Confidence, Social Skills, and Overall Wellbeing

This interactive session will utilise drama games to boost confidence and social skills while enhancing overall emotional wellbeing. Children will engage in activities that allow them to act out emotions and situations, fostering a deeper understanding of their feelings and perspectives. They will explore how body language reflects different emotions, the role of laughter in improving emotional health, and create characters that represent their biggest dreams. The session will emphasise the importance of supporting each other in safely and respectfully acting out emotions.
