3rd May - Expression Through Colours - Painting on Canvas

In this session, children will explore how to express their emotions through painting on canvas, using different colors to convey their feelings. They will reflect on how colors can represent their moods, describe vibrant hues that encapsulate their happiest memories, and consider how certain colors have enabled them to express feelings that were difficult to articulate with words. Additionally, they will learn to use colors creatively to narrate stories about their emotions and connect color choices to their relationships with friends and family.

During this session, children will create clay sculptures that embody various emotions, utilising the texture and shape of the clay to convey their feelings. They will think about how different shapes can represent emotions like happiness, sadness, or anger, and design a sculpture that reflects a moment of pride. The session will focus on using these sculptures as a means of non-verbal communication, allowing participants to express emotions visually without relying on words.
